It's mid-February and we are finally getting our new home unpacked. After a lot of hunting, we found a home two blocks from our new church and about 25 yards from our favorite West Lafayette ice cream store (The Silver Dipper)! You can see where our family priorities are 😂.

Someone sent us a picture of our old church in New Jersey praying for us before we left 😢

One Village Group

Our nonprofit, One Village Group, is working hard to switch from part-time to full-time over the next couple of weeks. Among many other projects, we FINALLY got the first draft of our website up!

February's Highlight

Something we are really excited about this month is training a social media intern for the Upendo Academy: our first One Village partner and the whole reason we exist as a nonprofit!

Upendo serves students from kindergarten through 8th grade in Kiminini, Kenya. 70% of the students at Upendo are girls who are usually taken out of school early.

We started working with Upendo in 2021 to help raise funds for a new building. It has been a BIG learning curve, but we are excited to keep moving forward.

Along with training a social media intern, we will be building them a new website and helping them build a donor care program. All of these pieces work together to help the school increase the number of students they can serve: students who would normally not be able to afford an education without Upendo.

Thank you for reading a little bit about what we have been up to!

I look forward to hearing from you all soon,

Erik
